But there is clear evidence that many Americans participate regularly in religious and spiritual small groups and form a large market for religious/spiritual books, tapes, music, and paraphernalia.(Yu, 2006: 179)
4.2 The Images of the Demons: Satan and Yama
Chinese and Westerners both believe that the soul is living in the body and the soul will temporarily leave while asleep. If it is long departed from the body, people will die. Since the soul can be porced from its original home, of course, it can also be invaded and occupied the body of others. (Zhang, 2004:56) This is the original beliefs of the Taoism and Christians from what they have been told and learn from The Book of Changes and The Bible. But now it is now accepted and absorbed in to people’s subconsciousness as their awareness of the folk culture.
