Over the last few years, different kinds of traditional psychologies have contributed to the cognitive style. In foreign, many researchers in the psychological and linguistic field have put forward different definitions of cognitive style. According to Harvey (1963), cognitive style is a form of mental meaning that a person adopts to filter and process simultaneous when he is faced with a complicated environment. Witkin (1962) regarded the term “cognitive style” as the concept that inpiduals consistently exhibit stylistic preferences for the ways in which they organize stimuli and construct meanings for themselves out of their experiences. Sigel and Cop (1974) identify cognitive style as an integrate concept that bridges personal character and cognition. On all accounts, cognitive styles are understood to be characteristic modes that are observed in an inpidual’s intellectual activities. They may represent a bridge between cognition and personality.
