The Application of Google Earth in The Course of Science for Elementary School

Abstract: Goole Earth, can show us a digital earth of “3D”vision,getting satellte and aerial photos through the network,provide the 3D sterets omodel of some vegetation and buildings,and a 360 live-action street view,those can make the science in elementary schools visual,more close to the elementary school students’ lives.Google Earth can show the regional and spatial characteristics of earth science more cleanly,combing with the rich network resources. Based on the Compulsory Education Curriculum Course Standard, this paper,which use the method of literature research and teaching practice research, Aimed at providing theoretical guidance for Google Earth application in the elementary school science teaching. focusing on related functions section of Google Earth,it expounds their application in the elementary school science teaching,in order to provide experience for the practical teaching of elementary school science teachers,combining with the specific geographic features of goole earth, it discusses the design and application in our earth.

Google Earth在小学科学课中的应用
——以《我们的地球》一课为例
科学课程是小学的基础课程，是科学启蒙课程，进行科学教育的主渠道主阵地是科学课程。在其他课程（如小学语文、小学数学等）中，也有科学内容的涉及，但那些只是渗透、附带的，《全日制义务教育科学（3~6年级）课程标准》规定：小学科学课程是以培养科学素养为宗旨的科学启蒙课程。它在知识内容方面主要涉及生命科学、物质科学、地球与宇宙科学三大领域，其中地球与宇宙科学这一部分对于小学生掌握科学知识、提高科学技能、形成科学态度有着至关重要的作用。
有关“地球与宇宙”内容的教学始终是小学科学教学的重点和难点，地球形状的认识、经纬网的建立、方向的判读、日照图模型等知识的教学都要求小学生要有较强的空间想象能力，而帮助学生构建头脑中的地球模型又是解决这些问题的关键。Google Earth 软件具有直接的、真实的地球模拟功能，对于辅助“地球与宇宙”教学将起到其他多媒体无法替代的作用 [1] 。本文将以河北人民出版社义务教育课程标准实验教科书《科学》四年级上册中的《我们的地球》一课为例，探讨Google Earth 在小学科学课中的具体应用。
