A brief discussion on significance of "multiculturalism" in primary music education
Abstract: In the context of global economic integration, the integration of various ethnic and cultural pluralism is the subject of concern countries in the world. Multicultural education has become an inevitable trend in the development of global education. Concept of multiculturalism in the new round of curriculum reform of elementary school music reflects more clearly. This paper argues that in elementary music education for multicultural education is conducive to the preservation and transmission of various cultures, which will help build students' good knowledge systems and be conducive to the full development of personality of students. It is also conducive to the democratization of music education. This paper discusses the significance of "multiculturalism" in primary music education in order to arouse the attention of educators, elementary school music enhance multicultural education.
