XNA User Control on XAML Page

I have a XAML/XNA Project for WP8. I was curious if instead of having the XNA be the standalone app that it appears to be, to have it be a UserControl? That way I can have a small window on the XAML in to the XNA app? Otherwise I will probably have to rewrite the XAML app in XNA... which I would not like to do.
