Abstract:he school is a major social environment for students who spend about 7-10 hours a day there, learning and socializing. As a result, various informal groups are formed by students to meet their social needs. Among members of informal groups, they share the same interests and needs and often, those interests and needs are complementary to one another’s. At the same time, students at the middle school level are in early teens with increasing self-awareness and physical growth. As such, informal groups, i.e. groups formed with students’ own will and selection rather than mandated by teachers as formal groups for class learning tasks, and they are vitally important in students’ physical and cognitive development.

Therefore, this research aims to study and analyze the informal groups in a middle school to understand the reasons for the formation, characteristics, and the different effects on group members in their academic development. Besides, the research results may provide some insight into the social needs of students as well as the effect of informal groups on their development, and can hopefully shed light on how teachers could manage and make use of informing grouping of students.

摘  要:校是学生们学习知识和社会化的一个主要社会环境,他们一天将要花费7-10个小时的时间在学校里。因此,学生们中各种各样的非正式群体恰好满足了他们的社会需求。非正式群体的成员们有着共同的兴趣和需要,并且他们之间的兴趣和需要可以互补。与此同时,中学生正处于早期青春发展阶段,他们的自我意识和身体素质都在快速发展之中。因此,非正式群体,即由学生自己的意愿和选择形成的小组,而不是由正式小组的教师委托进行课堂学习任务那样,它们对学生的身体和认知发展至关重要。

因此,本研究旨在通过对中学非正式群体的学习和分析,了解这些群体形成的原因,特点以及对群体成员在学业发展中的不同影响。 此外,本文的研究结果还将提供一些洞察学生的社会需求,非正式群体对学生发展的影响,以及希望揭示教师可以如何管理和利用学生分组的建议和看法。
