In international business activities, the cultural differences between different countries make the negotiation style widely different. Every country has its own business customs and business etiquette habits. To set an common example, in English and Chinese, some business English words and Chinese words may have the same meaning on surface, but they refer to different implication, which is the cultural differences in language. Different nationalities have different orientations in values and business culture, each country has its own customs and etiquette habit. For this reason, in international business activities we should not only be familiar with the rules in business activities, but also realize how they think about things, how they observe the world, we should spare no effort to understand their thoughts, habits, behavior and their culture. Only in this way can we stand stable in international business activities and remain invincible.
With the expectation to offer suggestions to Chinese enterprises carrying on business negotiation, this essay analyses the cultural differences between China and Britain, and makes them know how to behave properly in international business.
