初中生英语学习中的迁移现象分析(2)
The present English teaching situation is widely test-oriented, more time-consuming but less effective, teachers being too tired of English teaching. Though English learning environment is constantly improved, textbooks are frequently updated, junior middle school English teachers are trained all the time, and English curriculum standards are continually modified, there is no obvious effect in English teaching and learning. So English teachers are always trying to find the easiest way to lessen the obstructions of the negative transfer in English teaching and learning in junior middle school and optimize junior middle school English teaching.
English belongs to Indi-Euro Language Branch while Chinese belongs to Sino-Tibetan. Indi-Euro and Sino-Tibetan are two different independent language branches. Many researches of language transfer have done by foreign scholars. Though language transfer research in abroad is more than that in home, but there is still absent in language transfer under Chinese environment. The empirical research of language transfer in China is mainly related to college students but merely related to junior middle school students. But language transfer in junior middle school students’ English study should also be noticed. Mother tongue facilitates or obstructs English teaching and learning. So there are hot issues as for how to make good use of positive transfer of mother tongue and reduce the obstruction of negative transfer to facilitate English teaching and learning. So mistakes frequently made by students should be given deserved notice. And when students make mistakes in English study, how to solve these problems so as to lessen the function of negative transfer is worth researching. In addition, what’s the attitude of students about reducing the function of negative transfer in English learning also should be noticed.
