The Research on rural old-age mode in Southern region
Abstract: Rural old-age model in southern region is a co-existent form of multi-modes, the basic feature is the "home-based protection, community protection as the core, supplemented by commercial insurance." This paper describes the overview of rural old-age model in southern region: the traditional pension model is weakening, the coverage of social pension insurance is high, the development of community care is continuous and the development of supplementary pension security is slow. The mainly problems of current old-age model in southern region are that although the villagers have raised awareness of pension but still not strong, pension manner substantially homogeneous, the level of pension is still small. From the point of view of the social capital，this paper analyze the resources of rural old-age model in southern region-pension funds and pension services. Combined with the existing pension model study theory, this paper proposes that in the rural old-age model in southern region, social old-age pension insurance model should be the first pillar to the rural mutual pension to supplement.
