Procedures
The context of this study was the setting of a long-term activity designed by researchers for instructional purposes to facilitate students’ argumentation. Students’ activities in the argumentative inquiry were organized into an experiment activity and an argumentation activity. Students carried out open inquiry activities in small groups during the summer vacation. Each group was composed of two or three students.
